FiveServices is a full-stack freelance marketplace where clients can book services, freelancers can manage gigs and orders, and both parties communicate in real time. The platform implements a complete service lifecycle — discovery, booking, order tracking, reviews, and messaging — designed around real marketplace constraints.

Real-Time Systems & Monorepo Architecture

The project uses a monorepo architecture that deliberately separates the Next.js application (business logic, auth, database ownership) from a lightweight Socket.IO server dedicated to real-time messaging and online presence tracking.
